Wow, was this a HORRIBLE meal! I was very tempted to not even post it but as the hubs says you can have perfect meals all the time! The fried rice was very good but the shrimp, oh the shrimp, they were just pure salt! I like salt and I couldn't eat these. To be honest, I am really disappointed because I was really looking forward to this dish! The recipe is from Martha Stewart Everday Food so it was quick with few ingredients and I used less reduced-sodium soy then they used in the recipe and it was still saltier then salt! I am beginning to think that something was wrong with the shrimp to begin with - can shrimp be salty without seasoning? 1 consolation we enjoyed a fantastic bottle of Fine Wine with the meal. The fried rice I just made up using brown rice and I thought it was delish! The hubs thought it was ok - but his taste buds were ruined from the shrimp so he said he couldn't really tell much about the rice. Total disappointment for what I thought would be a good different meal! Oh well, you win some and you lose some!
