Wow, it has been quite a busy weekend! Lots of baking and cooking! Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas will be following shortly thereafter! Time flies! What started off to be a slow year turned out to be faster then the previous. Isnt that always the way? So I managed to FINALLY refinish the nightstand and dresser in one of my guest rooms this past weekend! FINALLY because it has been hanging over my head since we moved into the house in July. Now that the holidays are here, it is time to get the house more ready for family that will be coming to visit! I am quite pleased with my refinishing job! I got the idea out of Better Homes & Gardens “ it isnt completely finished as I have other ideas but it is MUCH better then what it was. I should have taken before and after shots! In any case, I refinished it in a distressed silver (yes silver) with crystal knobs. It really came out quite stunning. The hubs thought it was gaudy as I was doing it but once I put it in the room, he was quite impressed! He should trust me a little bit better with decorating! I actually am quite good at it even if I had drunk 4 or 5 glasses of fine wine.
